In 2021, Hertfordshire is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a guest met with the Korean national team and Korean celebrities with the opportunity for coaches to meet both the Korean team and the celebrities and Coaches will have the opportunity to discuss coaching techniques. It is also hope to in 2021 that a visit from the Chinese archery team and coaches can also be arranged.

Hertfordshire archers had significant success at the recent junior national outdoor championships held at archery GB headquarters. Taking a disproportionately high number of Gold medals and podiums and national ranking places, Reflecting the effort put in across the county by its coaches and archers.
At a recent schools introduction to clout, students were introduced to the fun of clout and incorporating a new “schools” variant of the rules to accommodate beginners alongside experienced clotures. This incorporated bonus circles inside the normal scoring clout ground-boss as well as making scoring easier with the use of demountable high-impact plastic clout scoring circles.

All AGB coaches in Hertfordshire are members of the Hertfordshire Group of Archery Coaches (HGAC). The group provides coaching services within Hertfordshire to archers of all standards. Our responsibilities include the organisation and day to day running of the County Squad and provision of Open Coaching (Development/Performance); and Coaching Education and Continued Professional Development for Coaches and providing information you need about coaching courses. We also attempt to develop coaching and coach development opportunities. The HGAC meetings usually include training elements and HGAC meet on the first Thursday of every month during the indoor season.
